case description

Micros Software is participating in a development project for a driver monitoring system (DMS).
A driver monitoring system uses in-vehicle cameras and various sensors to detect the condition of the driver while driving, thereby preventing distracted driving and careless driving, which are major causes of traffic accidents, and supporting safe driving.

Our company is responsible for developing sensing functions that perform image analysis and simulators that conduct operational verification on Windows. The sensing function utilizes image data and measurements from various sensors to detect and analyze changes in the driver's gaze, head movements, blinking, and yawning, thereby determining whether the driver is in a distracted, drowsy, or inattentive state. The simulator enables testing on a desk without actually moving the vehicle, allowing for reproduction tests in environments that are difficult to create in reality.
Looking ahead, we are developing technologies in accordance with a roadmap aimed at achieving a society free of traffic accidents, including the ability to switch to autonomous driving when abnormal driver conditions are detected.

Driver Monitoring System

DMS (Driver Monitoring System) is a system that detects driver distraction and drowsiness while driving. It uses near-infrared cameras to
non-invasively estimate physiological information such as pulse and blood pressure changes, and can detect and warn of physical abnormalities such as loss of consciousness in the driver.
Micros is involved in the development of DMS sensor control, and is also responsible for installation and customization in vehicles manufactured by domestic and overseas manufacturers.
